*   **Local Storage**: The app uses Room and DataStore to store your "Recent Files" list and "Bookmarks" locally on your device to improve your experience. This data never leaves your device.
*   **Permissions**: 
    *   **Overlay Permission (`SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW`)**: Used solely to display the floating PDF reader window over other apps.
    *   **Foreground Service**: Used to ensure the floating reader remains active and accessible while you multitask.

Floaty PDF does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Since we do not collect any user data, there is no personal information stored on our servers to protect. Your documents remain under your control on your local device storage.
